Terms & Conditions

1. Booking Confirmation & Booking Fee 
To secure your wedding date with Simply Gorgeous by Sophie Gallagher, a non-refundable booking fee of 30% of the total booking value is required. Your wedding date is only confirmed once your completed forms and booking fee have been recieved. The booking fee will be deducted from your final balance.

The booking fee secures my availability for your wedding date and allows me to begin planning and preparing for your bridal experience.

 

2. Final Payment 
The remaining balance must be paid in full via bank transfer, no later than 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. Failure to make full payment within this time frame may result in cancellation of your booking without a refund.

3. Travel Fees 
Travel allowances are included depending on the bridal package booked. Any mileage exceeding the included allowance will be charged at 60p per mile. Mileage is calculated from St Leonards, Ringwood, to the wedding location and return journey

 

 If travelling exceeds one hour, an additional £10 per hour travel fee will apply. Additional expenses including parking charges, congestion charges or other travel related costs incured, will be payable by the bride.

Any applicable surcharges, including early start fees, Sunday or bank holidays will be confirmed at the time of booking and included within your quotation.

For locations requiring extensive travel, destination weddings or bookings requiring a start time before 6:30am, overnight accommodation may be required. This will be discussed and agreed in advance before the wedding is confirmed.

4. Changes to Booking 
No changes to the number of services (e.g., hair or makeup for bridal party members) can be made within 90 days of the wedding date. Any services cancelled within this period will still be charged in full, as this time has been reserved, and other bookings declined.

5. Bank Holidays/ Out of hours 

Bookings scheduled on UK bank holidays or Sundays are subject to an additional surcharge. Where services require me to leave home before 6:00am, a £50 surcharge will apply. All applicable surcharges will be confirmed at the time of booking and added to your invoice. These surcharges are non-refundable and apply in addition to standard service rates and travel fees.

6. Cancellation Policy 
All deposits/ booking fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. If you choose to cancel your booking more than 8 weeks before your wedding date, only the deposit/booking fee will be forfeited. Within 8 weeks of the wedding date, the full remaining balance as stated on your invoice will still be payable. All cancellations must be made in writing (by email) to be valid. Failure to pay the outstanding balance for a late cancellation may result in further action being taken to recover the amount owed.

7. Force Majeure 
In the rare event that the Artist is unable to fulfill your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, extreme weather, emergency), every effort will be made to find a suitable replacement. If this is not possible, all monies paid, including the deposit will be refunded in full. 

 

8. Client Responsibilities 
The client must inform the artist of any allergies, skin sensitivities or medical conditions that may affect the use of beauty products. Simply Gorgeous by Sophie Gallagher will not be held liable for any reactions if no prior information is provided. Clients must ensure that hair is clean, dry and ready for styling, and that faces are clean and makeup free before the artists arrival. 

 

9. Liability 
The Artist will take all reasonable precautions to ensure a high standard of hygiene and professional service. However, the Artist accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, delay, or injury caused by circumstances beyond their control.

10. Additional Artists & Assistants 

For larger bridal parties, multiple services or where additional support is required to ensure services are completed within the agreed timings and to the high standard expected, the Artist reserves the right to bring a trusted assistant or additional artist.

Any additional artist or assistamt fees will be discussed and agreed with the Bride prior to being added to the final quotation.

All additional artists are carefully selected to ensure the same level of professionalism, care and service is provided throughout the wedding morning.
